Course Overview
This intermediate course focuses on techniques, tactics, and procedures for navigating and engaging threats in and around structural environments. Students will train on handling hallways, doorways, rooms, and transitional spaces—both interior and exterior—while maintaining tactical efficiency and safety. Emphasis will be placed on movement, cover utilization, threat discrimination, and coordinated tactics within confined or complex environments.
Topics Covered:
Navigating and clearing hallways and doorway
Engaging threats in room entry and interior space
Exterior-to-interior and interior-to-exterior transitions
Managing angles, corners, and angles of exposure
Decision-making under stress with simulated threats
Prerequisites
Completion of (EDCQC 3) or instructor approval is strongly recommended to ensure a foundational understanding of movement and structure-based tactics.
Individual protective gear: A loose, long-sleeved shirt or hoodie, groin protection (it can be something like a knee pad or cup), and gloves (gloves with rubber or hard materials will provide more protection).
