Are you ready to take your long-range marksmanship skills to the next level? Our 3-Day Long Range 101 & 201 Shooting Class combines the best of both worlds from our Basic Long Range and Advanced Long Range courses, offering a three-day immersive experience that caters to both beginners and experienced shooters.  Unlike our normal 1 and 2 day classes, this class is limited in size to 12 people, providing for a more personalized experience.  Led by expert marksman Daniel Posey, you will get unparalleled expertise, training and attention in this exciting class.

Course Overview:

Day 1 - Basic Long Range Essentials:

  • Morning Session (9am-12pm): Rifle setup, sight adjustment, zeroing, and fundamentals of marksmanship.

  • Afternoon Session (12:30pm-3:30pm): Introduction to ballistics, wind reading, and target engagements from 100-1000 yards.

Day 2 - Advanced Long Range Techniques:

  • Morning Session (9am-12pm): Ballistics refresher, advanced wind reading, and long-range trueing.

  • Afternoon Session (12:30pm-3:30pm): Engaging targets from 100 yards to 1 mile, shooting from alternate positions.

  • Optional: evening snacks and beverages around the fire (4-6pm)

Day 3 - Practical Application and Individualized Training:

  • Morning Session (9am-12pm): Practical application of learned skills.

  • Afternoon Session (12:30pm-3:30pm): Individualized Feedback and Fine-Tuning.  Discussion for option to purchase additional individualized training based on your specific needs and skill level.

 

 

Required Equipment:

  • Hearing and eye protection

  • Pen and Data book (notebook acceptable)

  • Rifle (1 MOA or better, preferably zeroed at 100 yards before class)

  • Caliber .223 – .338

  • Scope with MIL or MOA reticle, external adjustment for elevation and windage

  • Bipods, rear bag

  • Rounds of match-grade ammunition (120 for Day 1, 220 for Day 2-3)

  • Ballistic solver (app or Kestrel)

  • Rain or Sun gear, Bug Spray if needed

  • Lunch/snacks

Recommended Equipment:

  • Spotting scope

  • Laser range finder

  • Shooting bags

  • Shooting mat

  • Chronograph

  • Time: 9am - 3:30pm daily (with an optional evening around the fire on the second night)
