Home Readiness Level II

Home Readiness Level II builds upon the foundational skills developed in Home Readiness Level I, challenging students to apply those techniques in increasingly realistic home defense scenarios. This course is designed for responsible armed homeowners who have demonstrated safe firearm handling and are ready to progress from force-on-force exercises to live-fire applications in a controlled training environment.

Unlike Level I, Home Readiness Level II incorporates live-fire training throughout the course, allowing students to apply defensive movement, communication, and decision-making skills with their personal firearm under the direct supervision of our instructors.

Students will reinforce the principles of safe movement, room navigation, threat identification, and defensive decision-making while working through more advanced residential scenarios. Building on the skills introduced in Level I, this course introduces low-light operations, handheld flashlight techniques, multiple-room problem solving, and dynamic decision-making under increased stress. Students will learn to navigate realistic home environments while identifying threats, utilizing available cover and concealment, and making sound decisions in rapidly evolving situations.

The course culminates in a comprehensive live-fire home defense exercise that integrates the concepts learned throughout both Home Readiness courses. This final scenario challenges students to safely apply movement, communication, target identification, and marksmanship while reinforcing the importance of sound judgment, situational awareness, and responsible firearm use.

Home Readiness Level II is ideal for students who have successfully completed Home Readiness Level I and are ready to advance their skills through realistic scenario-based training, low-light exercises, and live-fire application.
