Feature: Lecture Based Informative Seminar Focusing on legalities and questions surrounding the use of deadly force.

The "should I shoot" seminar is designed to educate the student about the laws regarding the use of deadly force in different situations.  Students will learn about reasonable force, the use of force continuum and the factors which must be present prior to using deadly force. Also included will be discussion of shot placement and the aftermath of the application of deadly force. 

The Instructor, Mark Covington, is the training manager with Reno Guns and Range and has 28 years of experience as a law enforcement officer.  He retired as the chief of investigations at the Washoe County District Attorney's Office in 2019.
