This 5-hour concealed carry handgun training class is designed to familiarized shooters with carrying, drawing/re-holstering, reloading, and shooting from a concealed holster. This course will cover concealed carry laws, use of physical force versus lethal force, prohibited places, and benefits of having a concealed weapon permit. The primary focus of the class will be on getting the shooter familiar with working from an inside the waistband holster and the development of efficient and effective fundamentals. This will include how to safely carry and utilize a concealed weapon, defensive posturing and positioning, and defensive shooting techniques. Upon completion of this course, students will receive a handgun safety training certificate required for the concealed weapons permit application. *Completing the required fingerprint cards will be the student’s responsibility *Submitting the DPS concealed weapons permit application will be the student’s responsibility

These rotating 5-hour courses will be broken down into several different individual courses. It will consist of a course on vision and aiming, movement (shooting on the move and positional movement), and target transitions. Each topic will be its own 5-hour course. This is a performance orientated series of classes designed to enhance the shooters hard skills capabilities. Each class is in a “skills and drills” format. This is not for brand new shooters and is designed to build on the fundamentals to develop speed and accuracy in a dynamic environment.

This 5-hour handgun training class is centered around pistol mounted red dot sights. We will cover everything from zeroing distance considerations to the anatomical benefits of properly utilizing a red dot sight. During this class we will utilize various drills to learn and enforce visual focus versus awareness and how to direct and control your vision. Students will also be introduced to occlusion and the purpose of using that as a training tool. We will discuss different considerations when selecting a dot like window size, dot size, and reticle type as well as dispel some common myths and misconceptions revolving around red dots.

This 5-hour Basic Carbine course is designed to provide the new shooter with concepts of carbine/rifle shooting. The primary focus of this firearms training course will be on fundamentals of marksmanship. We will build a consistent and durable connection to the gun, learn how to correctly utilize our vision and aiming devices, and learn efficient manipulation of controls. We will cover presentations, malfunctions clearance, tactical and empty gun reloading techniques, and introduce proper training and diagnostic techniques for skill development. The goal of this training is for the student to have the confidence and understanding to be a more capable shooter as well as develop the ability to properly train and progress their skills.

In this 5-hour course you will be introduced to utilizing a scoped carbine. We will cover how to set up your specific equipment to fit your individual anatomy. This includes setting (where applicable) proper eye relief, adjusting diopters, parallax, comb, and length of pull. We will discuss how to properly zero different types of magnified optics and develop a solid zero for your system. We will heavily discuss the fundamentals of marksmanship while working on positional shooting. This course will also introduce shooters to gather DOPE (data on previous engagements) for their carbines by engaging targets of varying difficulty from 200-700 yards.
Any magnified optic is acceptable for use during this course, whether that is an LPVO, MPVO, fixed magnification, or even a red dot and magnifier combination. We will discuss the pros and cons of each and get you familiar with your personal capabilities and limitations with what you own.
